Procedimientos Especiales de Contención: El edificio que alberga a SCP-ES-304 ha sido adquirido por la Fundación y se encuentra operativo bajo una empresa fachada de la misma. La puerta de entrada a SCP-ES-304-A deberá mantenerse cerrada con candado y la sección que la alberga cerrada y oculta al público. El acceso a SCP-ES-304 requerirá una autorización de nivel 3 o superior y deberá hacerse fuera de los horarios de actividad de la empresa.

La totalidad de las instancias SCP-ES-304-1 han sido etiquetadas y marcadas. Actualmente 70 instancias han sido trasladadas y se mantienen en cautiverio con propósitos de investigación. El resto de las instancias deberá mantenerse en SCP-ES-304 hasta nuevo aviso. No se requieren mayores medidas a excepción de un conteo y revisión trimestral. Actualmente se tienen registradas 1265 3226 instancias individuales.

Puerta de acceso a SCP-ES-304

Descripción: SCP-ES-304 comprende un espacio extra-dimensional no euclidiano accesible a través de una cámara frigorífica de dimensiones 3,0 x 3,0 x 2,3 metros, sin marcas de fabricante o identificación aparentes, denominada SCP-ES-304-A, ubicada en un supermercado de la cadena Grand Union localizado en ███████, Nueva York. Aunque SCP-ES-304-A no ha mostrado una resistencia física inusual, todo intento de perforarla ha resultado invariablemente en fallas técnicas en maquinaria, y/o dolencias1 repentinas que han causan la indisposición de los sujetos al intentarse de forma manual. Esta no muestra mayores rasgos inusuales a excepción de una puerta corrediza reforzada instalada en algún punto previo a su descubrimiento.

SCP-ES-304 consiste en una tundra de extensión indeterminada, similar al que se hallaría en las zonas árticas, todas las pruebas para definir sus límites han dado resultados inconclusos y contradictorios. Las condiciones ambientales se mantienen casi invariables, de baja humedad y con temperaturas que rondan los -20° C. Con la única excepción de ocasionales ventiscas2. La totalidad del suelo esta cubierta por una gruesa capa de escarcha compactada bajo la cual se halla una superficie de hielo traslucida de profundidad indefinida. Su notoria dureza y resistencia a las altas temperaturas no ha hecho posible ningún tipo de perforación o daño mínimo a dicho manto.

Desde el lado de SCP-ES-304, el acceso a este parece venir de una cámara metálica de dimensiones 9,0 x 9,0 x 4,6 metros, parcialmente incrustada en el hielo y con evidentes signos de deterioro.

SCP-ES-304, instancia de SCP-ES-304-1 junto al personal de la Fundación

SCP-ES-304-1 parece ser la única forma de vida autóctona de SCP-ES-304. Se trata de una especie de ave no voladora, morfologicamente similar al alca gigante (Pinguinus impennis). Las instancias no parecen experimentar senescencia ni requerir ningún tipo de sustento mientras se encuentren dentro de los confines de SCP-ES-304. Pese a esto muestran una predisposición por la carne cruda, estos picotearan y arrancaran trozos pese a no consumirlos. La razón detrás de dicho comportamiento es incierta.

Descubrimiento:

El 03/10/1978 múltiples medios de comunicación reportaron sobre pingüinos en un supermercado local, el hecho llamó rápidamente la atención de varios agentes encubiertos de la Fundación que tras una breve investigación confirmaron el incidente como anómalo. SCP-ES-304 fue posteriormente identificado y clasificado como anomalía. Se establecieron protocolos de desinformación estándar.

Se interrogó al personal del lugar, de los cuales muy pocos tenían conocimiento previo sobre la anomalía. (Véase ANEXO ES/304.A)

El gerente responsable de la tienda, Robert Cassio (PDI-3040) no pudo ser localizado. El análisis de sus documentos no reveló pista alguna de su ubicación ni ningún indicio de actividad inusual a excepción de evidencia de un obvio desfalco financiero y mala gestión general. En una de las hojas se descubrió el garabato de un cono dividido en secciones con un circulo marcando la punta, junto con el dibujo de lo que parecía ser una diana y una cruz marcada cerca del centro. Se desconoce el presunto significado de los símbolos. El paradero actual del sujeto es desconocido.
