Procedimientos Especiales de Contención: La totalidad de instancias de SCP-ES-242 se encuentran depositados en el interior de un contenedor cerrado y etiquetado de manera correspondiente dentro del Área de Almacenamiento del Sitio-43. Solo personal con un nivel de autorización 2 o superior podrá acceder a cualquiera de las muestras de SCP-ES-242 con fines de investigación

Descripción: SCP-ES-242 consiste en un lote de 176 paquetes de aperitivos de tipo cheese puffs1, de la marca Cheetos. Aunque los análisis de laboratorio del contenido no han revelado ninguna diferencia en la composición respecto a los productos no anómalos similares que posee la marca en su catálogo, los productos parecen carecer de signos de deterioro propios de la caducidad que haría no apto su consumo, conservándose estos en un estado óptimo para el mismo en todo momento. Cabe añadir que si bien parecen poseer la misma receta y proporción de ingredientes clásica de sus contrapartes comerciales, todos los sujetos de prueba invariablemente han descrito el sabor y calidad de estos como notablemente superior.

Adicionalmente todos los envoltorios utilizan un color dorado metalizado, carecen de códigos de barra, fechas de caducidad, contactos del proveedor y cualquier otro número de identificación. Lo que ha sugerido que el lote no estaba destinado para la venta.

Además de dichas desviaciones, la principal anomalía de SCP-ES-242 se presenta tras su consumo por parte de algún individuo, tras lo que desencadena la manifestación de SCP-ES-242-1.

SCP-ES-242-1 es un félido anómalo, morfologicamente similar a los miembros del género Homotherium2, contando este con la variación de una cola de alrededor de 80cm, mayor al correspondiente al del género mencionado, y una complexión más estilizada. El aspecto general de SCP-ES-242-1 parece emular al personaje y mascota de la empresa Cheetos, Chester Cheetah. Esto se refiere a un pelaje corto de llamativo color naranja, manchas negras, coloración amarilla sobre el hocico y un contrastante pelaje blanco en el vientre, SCP-ES-242-1 usa además un par de gafas de sol, que se mantienen constantemente fijadas en su lugar. El análisis genético de muestras de pelaje ha dado resultados inconclusos y ambiguos, coincidiendo con guepardo (Acinonyx jubatus), león americano (Puma concolor) y humano (Homo sapiens sapiens) en diferentes pruebas, lo que ha sugerido un inusual quimerismo genético.

Aproximadamente una hora después de que un humano haya comenzado a consumir el contenido de uno o más paquetes de SCP-ES-242, independientemente de la cantidad consumida, SCP-ES-242-1 se manifestará en los alrededores, a unos 60-703 km de distancia del individuo.

Tras su manifestación, SCP-ES-242-1 tendrá un conocimiento inmediato de la ubicación general del sujeto y avanzará a gran velocidad4 hacia este. SCP-ES-242-1 ignorará a cualquier otro individuo que no haya consumido SCP-ES-242 en su camino y comúnmente optará por rutas con poca o nula presencia humana.

Cabe resaltar que posterior a la manifestación inicial de SCP-ES-242-1, las personas involucradas en su aparición percibirán un fuerte olor a queso semejante al del producto ingerido. Se cree que este es un efecto secundario del consumo de SCP-ES-242 ya que este perdura independientemente de las condiciones o presencia de otros aromas, y solo es percibido por aquellos que hayan consumido SCP-ES-242.

En caso de que SCP-ES-242-1 logre alcanzar al individuo, el primero atacará de manera agresiva a este último, comúnmente desembocando en su muerte. Cualquier daño infligido con las garras o colmillos de SCP-ES-242-1 al sujeto, independientemente de su gravedad o grado de letalidad, provocará una repentina desecación del cuerpo de este, que resulta invariablemente mortal para el individuo, seguida de una transmutación físico-química, de comportamiento similar a una osificación acelerada, que consiste en la conversión de todos los tejido blandos del cuerpo en una masa de maíz inflada con sabor a queso, practicamente idéntica en composición a los bocadillos cheese puffs. Todo el proceso suele durar menos de 20 segundos. Luego de esto SCP-ES-242-1 procederá a consumir tanto del cuerpo de la víctima como sea posible, dejando únicamente los restos óseos no convertidos.

Una vez haya concluido, SCP-ES-242-1 se desmanifestará perdiendo cohesión física, dejando tras de sí un fino polvo de harina de maíz y trazas de aceite vegetal. Si SCP-ES-242-1 es herido de forma grave o letal5 antes de alcanzar su objetivo, se desmanifestará de igual forma antes de reaparecer en las cercanías del sujeto. SCP-ES-242-1 continuará intentando alcanzar al sujeto hasta que haya logrado consumirlo.

Cabe aclarar que la transmutación solo tendrá lugar en aquellos que hayan consumido SCP-ES-242, cualquier herida infligida por SCP-ES-242-1 a un individuo que no sea el sujeto no presentará efectos anómalos y deberá tratarse como una herida normal.

Recuperación: SCP-ES-242 sería descubierto luego de la investigación de una serie de ataques y reportes de un felino similar a un guepardo en ██████, Nuevo México, E.E.U.U. Paquetes vacíos de SCP-ES-242 fueron hallados en todas las residencias de las victimas, tras determinarse su origen común, se rastrearon hasta una tienda de conveniencia, de cuyos anaqueles y almacén se recuperaron el resto del lote original de SCP-ES-242.

El establecimiento era propiedad de Brandon Ramirez, quién declaró haber adquirido el lote de SCP-ES-242 a través de un tercero. Poco después de la recuperación, el señor Ramirez fue detenido y entrevistado, registro a continuación:
